Appfire acquires Beecom

Beecom Products, Swiss maker of JSU Automation Suite for Jira Workflows, is now part of the Appfire family of brands

We’re excited to announce our recent acquisition of Beecom Products, makers of the wildly popular JSU workflow app used by thousands of teams worldwide. By adding this amazing brand of Atlassian apps to the Appfire family, our customers will have even more powerful workflow customization tools to help tailor their Jira platforms to their unique needs.

Beecom’s flagship app JSU Automation Suite for Jira Workflows is an incredible complement to our existing workflow and automation products within the Bob Swift portfolio, such as Create on Transition for Jira, Clone Plus for Jira, and the Atlassian Command Line Interface (CLI) family of apps.

“With JSU, the Beecom product team has developed one of the most trusted workflow wonders in the entire Atlassian ecosystem, and we have a shared passion for helping work flow within teams,” Randall Ward, Appfire CEO said. “With such a long and impactful history of helping teams customize and scale their Jira instances, Beecom Products is a natural fit to join the Appfire portfolio of brands. We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome their team into our family.

This is our second major acquisition following our recent private equity funding from Silversmith Capital Partners. Last month, we announced that we acquired Botron, makers of Configuration Manager for Jira.

About Beecom

Beecom began using Jira in 2003, partnered with Atlassian in 2004, created the first Atlassian User Group in 2007, became the trusted stewards of JSU in 2011, won the Think Different Award for Creative Excellence at the 2014 Atlassian Summit, and is celebrating its 20th anniversary as a company this year.

Over time, Beecom has grown to have three impressive business lines: a highly popular collection of Atlassian apps, an award-winning professional services division, and the world renowned Worldwebforum event, which had humble beginnings as the first Atlassian User Group. With this acquisition, Beecom Products, including all three of its apps and all 13 product team members, will become part of the Appfire family.

“We’re thrilled to join Appfire,” said Fabian Hediger, co-founder of Beecom Products. “This strategy will propel us into the next stage of growth and accelerate our ability to help modern organizations solve challenges with our product solutions. As we scale up with Appfire, so do our capabilities to develop products and experiences that are cherished by the members of the Atlassian ecosystem globally.”

What does this mean for Beecom’s customers?

We’re committed to providing our customers with all-star product support and continuous improvements to their app experience. As an award-winning Platinum Top Vendor, our team has 15 years of expertise in the Atlassian ecosystem. And our Bob Swift, Botron, Feed Three, and Wittified product brands comprise the largest portfolio of apps on the Atlassian Marketplace, so we’re well-versed in helping teams of all different sizes and across every industry.

When it comes time to renew licenses, Beecom customers won’t have to worry about any changes in the renewal process and will be able to renew through the Atlassian Marketplace or their Atlassian reseller.
